Harbormaster Toy Company makes handcrafted wooden toys inspired by the working waterfront — built for years of play, timeless design, and stories worth keeping. Made of solid wood, eco-friendly, and meant to be passed on to the next generation.

The idea for Harbormaster began when my late wife and I were expecting our first child. Toys had become cheap and disposable, built for convenience rather than longevity. As an industrial designer, I wanted better for our children — but the choices were few.

After years in corporate design and now a grandparent, I continued to find selections limited and an emerging interest from new parents seeking natural, eco-friendly wooden toys. As a result, I built the first Harbormaster vessels in my garage: solid wood, safe finishes, and good design craftsmanship meant to last for generations.

That passion evolved into a business whose mission of creating sustainable play experiences continues to guide us today. Every Harbormaster toy is:
